Abstract:
This monitoring device is equipped with: a first imaging unit that has a fixed viewing angle; a second imaging unit that has a changeable imaging direction and can be adjusted to have a smaller viewing angle than that of the first imaging unit; extraction sections for extracting an object of interest from images captured by the first imaging unit and second imaging unit; an information processing section that calculates the position of the object of interest extracted by the extraction sections; and a control section that adjust the imaging direction of the second imaging unit such that the object of interest will continue to appear in images captured by the second imaging unit on the basis of the position of the object of interest calculated by the information processing section.
