Abstract:
Disclosed are a monitoring instructing and monitoring method and apparatus with a short transmission time interval. The method comprises: determining whether there is a short transmission time interval service at a network side; and instructing whether a terminal needs to monitor a downlink control channel of the short transmission time interval according to the condition whether there is a short transmission time interval service; receiving an instruction indicating whether to monitor the downlink control channel of the short transmission time interval at the terminal side; and monitoring the downlink control channel of the short transmission time interval according to the instruction. According to the present application, a terminal having a short transmission time interval capability no longer needs to monitor a downlink control channel at each short transmission time interval, and no excessive consumption and waste of energy will be caused.
