Title:
MONITORING SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATICALLY SETTING AND AUTOMATICALLY CUTTING OFF STANDBY CURRENT OF OUTLET DUE TO INSERTION OF PLUG AND CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR, PLUG INSERTION DETECTING UNIT, AND USB PLUG INSERTION DETECTION MODULE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/190622
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A monitoring system for automatically setting and automatically cutting off standby current of an outlet due to the insertion of a plug according to the present invention comprises an outlet comprising: a plug socket; a plug insertion detection unit for outputting a plug insertion detection signal for a corresponding state according to whether the plug of an electronic appliance is inserted into the plug socket; a current detection unit for outputting a current detection signal for a corresponding state according to the amount of current consumption in the plug socket; a switching unit; and an outlet control unit, wherein, when it is determined through the plug insertion detection signal that the plug of an electronic appliance is not inserted into the plug socket in the previous state and then is inserted into the plug socket in the current state, the outlet control unit outputs a control signal to the switching unit, so as to control the switching unit to switch to a connected state, thereby allowing power to be supplied from an power supply line to the plug socket, and measures the present value of current consumed in the plug socket, using the current detection signal applied from the current detection unit, so as to determine the measured present value of current as standby current for the plug socket.
