Abstract:
The present invention is provided with a monitoring unit that connects a monitoring camera and a monitoring recorder via a network, confirms whether the monitoring recorder is in a state of being able to record or a state of being unable to record monitoring video data, and when the state of being unable to record has been confirmed, transmits a control signal instructing the start of video recording to the monitoring camera. When the monitoring camera receives the control signal instructing the start of video recording, captured monitoring video data is recorded to a recording medium that the monitoring camera itself has.
