Abstract:

A monitoring device transmits, when judging that a car stops at a specified position (step 705), the car's simulated position information (dummy data) to an automatic accounting device (725). The automatic accounting device computes an accounting amount based on the dummy data, and transmits the computed result to the monitoring device. The monitoring device receives this result (735) and judges whether or not the automatic accounting device is normal based on the result (step 740). Since the above sequence of actions are taken only when a car stops, the status of an automatic accounting device that is not monitored will not be mistaken for that of an automatic accounting device that is monitored.
