Abstract:
Provided is a monitoring system which when monitoring is performed using a sales vehicle, is capable of preventing data loss and acquiring more detailed data if a defect is found. This monitoring system is configured such that: while a moving body 10 is traveling, a monitoring camera 12 captures an image of facilities along the railway line; a control unit 16 transmits the image together with position information to a system control device (server) 20; the server instructs a subsequent moving body to attach the position information corresponding to the image in which the abnormality is detected and to capture the image at the position, when the server detects an abnormality (including loss or poor image quality) in the image, and issues an instruction to adjust image-capturing parameters and capture an image, when the image is unclear; and the control unit 16 of the subsequent moving body causes the monitoring camera 12 to capture an image according to the instruction.
