Abstract:
A monolithic building is proposed comprising a three-dimensional curved shell (2) made of fibrous reinforcing elements to which is applied a consolidating agent. The fibrous reinforcing elements are made of a an air-impermeable material and are attached by a sealed connection around the outside of the shell (2) to a support structure (1) (foundation). The building is provided with an additional shell (5) inside the main shell (2), a gap (6) being left between the two and filled with an insulating material; and with a multi-storey skeleton (7) which accommodates the dwelling space (8) of the building. Window and door frames (3 and 4 respectively) are mounted in both shells (2, 5). If the building is to be constructed on unstable ground, a mobile support structure (1) is proposed to allow correction of the building level where necessary by, for example, filling in with rubble ballast and levelling the ground.
