Abstract:
A composition comprising a phosphorylcholine group-containing monomer, a phosphorylcholine group-containing silicone macromer, a silicone monomer or macromer other than the phosphorylcholine group-containing silicone macromer represented by formula (2), a hydroxy group-containing hydrophilic monomer, an amide group-containing hydrophilic monomer and a cross-linking agent is used as a composition for a contact lens, thereby providing a monomer composition for a contact lens, a polymer for a contact lens and a contact lens that allow production of contact lenses offering users excellent comfort during wearing resulting from preferable surface hydrophilicity, preferable antifouling properties and preferable oxygen permeability.
