The present invention achieves the well-balanced disposition of units for driving a monorail and simplification of the configurations of a monorail drive device and a system in the drive device and a monorail truck provided therewith. A monorail drive device comprises a plurality of traveling wheels (24) and a plurality of drive motors (30) with respect to one axle (32), the plurality of traveling wheels (24) are affixed to the one axle (32), and each of the drive motors (30) is installed at each end of the one axle (32). Further, the monorail drive device is provided with a sensor (70) which is installed in at least one of the drive motors (30) in order to detect either (or both) of the number of rotations and the current of the drive motor (30), and one control unit (power converter) (72) for driving the plurality of drive motors (30) affixed to the one axle (32).
