Abstract:
This mooring line monitoring system is configured of: an extension rate detection device 20 which detects an extension rate βm of a fiber rope forming a mooring line 30 when a ship 1 is moored to a pier 2 by using the mooring line 30; and a control device 43 which calculates the tension Tm of the mooring line 30 from the detection values αm, βm of the extension rate detection device 20. Thus, with a relatively simple configuration, the tension of the mooring line is detected and breakage of the mooring line is predicted and avoided at all times even in any one among mooring work using a mooring line, mooring work completion, and during mooring.
