Abstract:
A motion assist device (1) comprises: a first mount member (10) that is mounted to a torso; second and third mount members (20, 30) that are respectively mounted to both legs; and a power generation mechanism (40) that has one end connected to the first mount member (10) and the other end connected to the second and third mount members (20, 30) and that generates a tensile force between the one end and the other end. The power generation mechanism (40) has a cord-shaped first power transmission member (410) that is connected to the second and third mount members (20, 30), a first sliding mechanism (421) that is disposed in a location between the first mount member (10) and the second and third mount members (20, 30) and on which a third part (413) is wound, and an actuator (430) that generates a tensile force from at least one end of the first power transmission member (410) to the second mount member (20) and the third mount member (30).
