Abstract:
The present invention improves the fuel consumption of a moving body such as a vehicle by efficiently performing control to suppress acceleration/deceleration of the vehicle. A motion control device 1 for controlling motion of a vehicle 100, comprises: a travel distance acquisition unit 11 that acquires the travel distance travelled by the vehicle 100 from entry of the vehicle 100 into a stop state to next entry of the vehicle 100 into a stop state; a travel distance storage unit 12 that stores the traveled distance; a next travel distance prediction unit 13 that predicts, on the basis of the traveled distance stored in the travel distance storage unit 12, a next travel distance to be travelled by the vehicle 100 from entry of the vehicle 100 having traveled the travel distance into a stop state to next entry into a stop state; and a control determination unit 14 that determines whether or not to perform control to suppress acceleration/deceleration of the vehicle 100 in the moving direction. The control determination unit 14 is configured to determine whether or not to perform control to suppress acceleration/deceleration of the vehicle 100 in the moving direction, on the basis of a next moving distance and the position of a vehicle preceding the vehicle 100.
