Title:
MOTION DETECTION METHOD BASED ON PERTURBATION PATTERNS OF WIRELESS LAN PARAMETERS STABILIZED BY DUMMY TRAFFIC
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/235983
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a technology which can detect motion within a wireless LAN coverage on the basis of perturbation patterns when wireless LAN parameters which have been stabilized by dummy traffic are suddenly perturbed in a certain pattern. Here, the desirable method for transmitting dummy traffic is that a wireless LAN access point continuously transmits dummy data, in the form of a UDP packet, to a wireless LAN station. More specifically, the present invention relates to a motion detection technology based on perturbation patterns of wireless LAN parameters, the technology being able to determine the existence of motion in an applicable space if, in a state wherein the wireless LAN parameters have been stabilized as a plurality of wireless LAN communication devices, installed so as to be spaced apart in a certain space such as home or office, consistently exchange wireless LAN dummy traffic, a sudden perturbation of the wireless LAN parameters occurs and the fluctuation pattern of the perturbation shows a certain shape.
