The present invention provides a motion guiding device and a method for manufacturing the motion guiding device, wherein guiding accuracy can be improved, and a specific dimensional control can be performed without complicated processing. The motion guiding device comprises: a raceway member in which a rolling element-rolling face is formed along the longitudinal direction; a moving member having a loaded rolling element-rolling face formed at a position facing the rolling element-rolling face, and an unloaded rolling element-rolling passage formed in parallel to the loaded rolling element-rolling face; and a plurality of rolling elements which are disposed so as to be capable of rolling inside a loaded rolling passage formed by the rolling element-rolling face and the loaded rolling element-rolling face, wherein the moving member is mounted through the rolling elements so as to be capable of reciprocating in the longitudinal direction of the raceway member. On a portion of a central section of the moving member at which the moving member faces the top surface of the raceway member, an attenuation material is mounted such that there is a gap between the attenuation material and the top surface. The attenuation material is mounted through a predetermined gap to each of both end sections of a main body of the moving member in the longitudinal direction and both end sections of the main body in the width direction.
