This motion guiding device (10) is provided with: a raceway member 11 having a rolling body-rolling surface 11a; a moving member 13 having a rolling body-return passage 23 and a load rolling body-rolling surface 13a that faces the rolling body-rolling surface 11a; a pair of cap members 17 having a direction converting passage 25 that connects the load rolling body-rolling surface 13a and the rolling body-return passage 23; and a plurality of rolling bodies 12 disposed so as to be able to roll freely on the rolling body-return passage 23, a pair of direction converting passages 25, and a load rolling body-rolling passage 22 that is composed of the rolling body-rolling surface 11a and the load rolling body-rolling surface 13a. Also, the motion guiding device (10) is configured such that the gap between a rolling body 12 and the direction converting passage 25 in a boundary region X of the direction converting passage 25 and the load rolling body-rolling passage 22 is smaller than the gap between the rolling body 12 and the rolling body-rolling surface 11a in the boundary region X of the direction converting passage 25 and the load rolling body-rolling passage 22. Due to the above configuration, the rolling body can be made to perform a smooth rolling motion in this motion guiding device 10 when transitioning from an unload region to a load region.
