Abstract:
Provided is a motion guidance device such that detachment of a retainer when a rolling body is removed from a raceway member can be prevented, and fluctuations in resistance when the retainer circulates can be reduced. The motion guidance device (1) is provided with: a raceway member (2) having a rolling body rolling part; a moving body (3) having a load rolling body rolling part facing the rolling body rolling part of the raceway member (2), a return path (B), and a direction-changing path (C1) connected to a load path (A) and the return path (B); a plurality of rolling bodies (6) arranged in the load path (A), return path (B), and direction-changing path (C1); and a retainer (21) for holding at least one of the plurality of rolling bodies (6). Grooves (18, 26, 27) into which an end portion (22) of the retainer (21) in the width direction fits are formed in the load path (A), return path (B), and direction-changing path (C1). The width (W1) of the grooves (26, 27) in at least a portion (C11) of the direction-changing path (C1) and/or in the return path (B) is greater than the width (W4) of the grooves (18) in the load path (A).
