Abstract:
This motor control device (19) supplies a detection current to a motor (9) at a prescribed time period, detects the voltage between both ends of a smoothing capacitor (13) when the detection current is supplied, and determines from the change in the voltage between both ends whether or not the connector (5) is inserted. Further, if it is determined that the connector (5) is disengaged, then the smoothing capacitor (13) is discharged and the voltage between both ends of the smoothing capacitor (13) is lowered to or below a defined value.
