Abstract:
A motor control device having multiple control circuits and multiple motor circuits. The motor circuits are configured by means of an inverter circuit and a coil. The multiple motor circuits are controlled by any one of the control circuits, or in a divided manner by multiple control circuits. In this state, when a fault is detected in any control circuit controlling the motor circuits, switching control is performed so as to disconnect this control circuit and perform control of the corresponding motor circuit by another, normal control circuit. By performing this fault detection and switching control smoothly and quickly, recovery from faults in the motor control device is carried out, and reliability is improved.
