Abstract:
The present invention detects a closed loop circuit on the basis of a short failure between a switching element for motor control and a switching element for disconnection in a motor drive circuit. This motor control device is provided with a motor and a motor drive circuit (10a) that is connected to a power source device and the motor and that controls the output of the motor, the motor control device being provided with a processing unit for detecting a closed loop circuit formed by the motor and the motor drive circuit (10a) on the basis of a short failure of switching elements disposed in the motor drive circuit (10a).
