Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a motor control device for controlling a motor drive device which employs a regeneration resistance scheme, said motor control device allowing for accurate measurement of power consumption without using dedicated measurement equipment such as a wattmeter. The motor control device includes a power consumption calculation unit (5) which calculates a loss (L) on the basis of a motor current (I), or a motor current (I) and a motor speed (v), calculates a motor output (W) by multiplying the motor speed (v) by a torque (τ) or a thrust, and determines whether or not a regeneration resistor (3) is energized. When the regeneration resistor (3) is energized, the power consumption calculation unit calculates a power consumption (P) per unit time as W + L, if the sum (W + L) of the loss (L) and the motor output (W) is greater than or equal to 0, and calculates the power consumption (P) per unit time as P = 0, if W + L < 0, whereas, when the regeneration resistor (3) is not energized, the power consumption calculation unit calculates the power consumption (P) per unit time as W + L.
