Abstract:
In this motor control device having a function of detecting a rotor position in a synchronous motor without using a sensor, occurrence of erroneous detection of a rotor position is prevented and control of the synchronous motor based on the rotor position can be stabilized in both of a normal region and a flux weakening region. A motor control device 1 includes: a first rotor position detection unit 19 that detects the rotor position in a synchronous motor 2 on the basis of an induced voltage electrical angle and a first induced voltage phase obtained from a current wave peak value and a difference between an induced voltage electrical angle and the current electrical angle; a second rotor position detection unit 20 that detects the rotor position in the synchronous motor 2 on the basis of the induced voltage electrical angle and a second induced voltage phase obtained from an interlinkage flux and the current wave peak value; and a selection unit 21 that selects the first rotor position detection unit 19 or the second rotor position detection unit 20, on the basis of the current wave peak value and the first induced voltage phase or the second induced voltage phase.
