Abstract:
A motor control method for a dental handpiece provided with a motor for rotationally driving a cutting tool. The control method comprises: a step (a) in which, when load torque acting on the cutting tool exceeds a preset limit torque value, the motor current is limited to a first limit current (I1); and a step (b) in which, when the stop of rotation of the motor is detected, the motor current is controlled to a level less than or equal to a second limit current which is less than the first limit current (I1).
