Abstract:
A motor control method and device, and a washing machine and control method are provided that effectively control a motor so that the motor can rotate at a desired, constant rotational speed, and effectively calculates the amount of laundry in a drum. According to an embodiment, a motor control method comprises a first power value applying step wherein an inverter applies a first power value to a motor based on a pre-stored first command voltage value corresponding to a command speed, a first rotational speed maintaining step wherein the motor applied with the first power value rotates at a first rotational speed while maintaining the first rotational speed, and a second power value applying step wherein the inverter applies a second power value to the motor based on a second command voltage value compensated based on a difference between the first rotational speed and the command speed.
