Abstract:
This motor control method for a winding field type synchronous motor comprising a rotor having a rotor winding and a stator having a stator winding controls stator current flowing through the stator winding and rotor current flowing through the rotor winding. According to the motor control method, a torque command value for generating desired torque is set for the winding field type synchronous motor, and a d-axis current command value and a q-axis current command value for stator current, and an f-axis current command value for rotor current, are calculated on the basis of the torque command value and the operation status of the winding field type synchronous motor. Additionally, an f-axis voltage is estimated, which is the voltage that is applied to the rotor winding and necessary for controlling the rotor current with respect to the f-axis current command value at a prescribed response speed. When the voltage that can be outputted, which is determined on the basis of the power supply voltage, is insufficient with respect to the estimated f-axis voltage, the d-axis current command value is corrected in accordance with the insufficiency, and the winding field type synchronous motor is controlled on the basis of the d-axis current command value, the q-axis current command value, and the f-axis current command value.
