Abstract:
Provided are a motor and a motor control method with which high power generation efficiency and regeneration efficiency can be achieved by a simple means. The motor is equipped with: a rotor R; a storage battery B and a capacitor C (power sources) charged by the generated electrical energy; an SR motor M that rotates the rotor R by means of magnetic force generated by current supplied from the power sources, and that generates power by converting rotational energy from the rotor R to electrical energy; current sensors S1-S3 that measure the magnitude of the current supplied to excitation coils U, V, W; and a semiconductor switch/power generation control circuit 5 that supplies electrical energy to the excitation coils U, V, W from the power sources and thereby increases the current, and thus maintains the rotation when the magnitude of the current measured by the current sensors S1-S3 falls below a preset lower limit value required for rotating the rotor R by means of charging.
