Abstract:
A motor drive apparatus is provided with: a position detection unit (1) for detecting the rotating position of a motor (100); a velocity detection unit (2) for detecting the rotating velocity of the motor (100); a control unit (3) for generating a control signal for driving the motor (100), on the basis of a position command signal for the motor (100), and the rotating position and rotating velocity of the motor (100); a limiting unit (4) for limiting the value that the control signal is capable of taking within a limit value, which is determined using the position-command signal value as the reference point; and a drive unit (5) for applying current to the motor (100) according to the control signal that was limited by the limiting unit (4).
