Abstract:
A motor-drive controlling device includes: a motor; first position detecting means; induced voltage detecting means; second position detecting means; supplying means; drive state detecting means; and control means. The motor includes a rotor and a stator having a winding. The first position detecting means detects a rotational position of the rotor. The induced voltage detecting means detects an induced voltage generated in the winding. The second position detecting means detects a rotational position of the rotor based on the induced voltage. The supplying means supplies a drive voltage to the motor. The drive state detecting means detects a drive state of the motor. The control means is configured to choose one of the first and second position detecting means in response to the drive state, instruct the chosen one to provide a detected rotational position of the rotor, and control the supplying means based on the detected rotational position.
