Abstract:
A motor drive device provided with a booster circuit in a converter, wherein a converter control unit (15) is provided with a command setting unit (20) and a switching control unit (30). The command setting unit (20) has a first command determination unit (21) for determining a first DC voltage command Vi* corresponding to a power supply input current Ia, a second command determination unit (22) for determining a second DC voltage command Vω* corresponding to the speed ω at which a compressor motor rotates, and a selection unit (23) for selecting the first DC voltage command Vi* or the second DC voltage command Vω*, whichever is larger, and imparting the selected one as a DC voltage command Vdc* to the switching control unit (30).
