Abstract:
By performing direct-current energization before start-up of first and second synchronous motors (7A, 7B), rotors of the synchronous motors (7A, 7B) are pulled into designated positions. In the direct-current energization, a difference between the value of a direct current flowing through the first synchronous motor (7A) and the value of a direct current flowing through the second synchronous motor (7B) is reduced. For example, d-axis currents and q-axis currents, which correspond to three-phase currents flowing through the motors (7A, 7B), are found (103A, 103B), a d-axis voltage command value that causes one having a larger absolute value out of the d-axis currents to match a d-axis current command value is found, a q-axis voltage command value that causes one having a larger absolute value out of the q-axis currents to match a q-axis current command value is found (104A, 104B, 106), and an inverter is driven using the found d-axis voltage command value and q-axis voltage command value (107, 108). Even if the initial positions of the motors are different, a sharp rise in motor current can be suppressed, thereby making it possible to reduce risks such as inverter failure and motor demagnetization.
