Abstract:

The present invention addresses the problem of providing a motor drive device for an automobile and equipped with a speed reducer, with which deformation of the outer ring of a rolling bearing is reduced, and lubricating oil is supplied to the interior of the rolling bearing in a satisfactory manner, without reducing the bearing performance. In this speed-reducer-equipped motor drive device for an automobile, which is a parallel-shaft gear speed reducer, both ends of the multiple gear shafts forming the parallel-shaft gear speed reducer are supported via rolling bearings (34b) fitted into bearing fitting holes (32b) provided in a speed reducer casing (20bL) housing the parallel-shaft gear speed reducer, and on the inner peripheral surface of the bearing fitting holes (32b) in which the rolling bearings (34b) are fitted, a groove (45) connecting a space (G1) housing the speed reducer and an internal space (G2) in the bearing fitting hole is provided at a position that does not cross the line of action of the load acting on the rolling bearings (34b) due to the meshing of the gears.
