Abstract:
The disclosed device is provided with: a duty calculation unit which calculates a duty command value (Dty); a duty limiter which limits the value of the duty command value (Dty) by a limit value (L); a current flow monitoring unit which determines that there is overcurrent if a current value (Idet) passing through a coil exceeds a specified threshold value (Ithr); and a limit value generation unit which generates the limit value (L). In order that the current value (Idet) decreases during the period when overcurrent is determined, the limit value generation unit updates the limit value (L) at prescribed time intervals and for each value corresponding to the difference between the threshold value (Ithr) and the current value (Idet).
