Abstract:
A motor drive device is provided with: a drive control unit which generates a drive signal (trq); a limiter which limits the range of the drive signal (trq) value; a limit value generation unit which generates a limit value (lmt); and a drive output unit which energises an energisation signal in response to an output signal from the limiter. The limit value generation unit generates a comparison signal in which an offset value (ofs) is added to the drive signal (trq), and updates the limit value (lmt) on the basis of the magnitude relation between the comparison signal value (trq+ofs) and the limit value (lmt).
