In order to suppress strange noises and vibrations in a vehicle motor drive device using a two-way roller clutch as a clutch for switching between two rotary transmission paths having different gear ratios, provide a vehicle motor drive device with a structure comprising: a rotation transmission member (8) for transmitting rotation between a motor shaft (4) and an input shaft (7); a first-gear input gear (10A) and a second-gear input gear (10B) provided on the input shaft (7); and a first-gear output gear (11A) and a second-gear output gear (11B) which engage with the first-gear input gear (10A) and the second-gear input gear (10B) respectively. Therein, a first-gear two-way roller clutch (17A) is provided between the first-gear output gear (11) and an output shaft (9) and a second-gear two-way roller clutch (17B) is provided between the second-gear output gear (11B) and the output shaft (9), and the rotation transmission member (8) comprises an elastic member (53) which permits relative rotational displacement between the motor shaft (4) and the input shaft (7) by means of elastic deformation.
