Abstract:
Providing this motor drive device (1) with an overcurrent detector (17) and an overcurrent adjuster (17a) prevents overheating in the drive device when a motor is overloaded. The overcurrent adjuster (17a) is provided with a regulator power supply (55), an input voltage generator (14), a voltage-to-current converter (15), and an offset voltage generator (12). The input voltage generator (14) is connected in series with a temperature sensor (13) via a second connection point (51). The voltage-to-current converter (15) outputs a prescribed current in accordance with a result detected by the temperature sensor (13). The voltage generated by a current detection resistor (4) is adjusted by an offset voltage generator (12) and transmitted to the overcurrent detector (17).
