Abstract:
Switching of a converter is stopped from the start of operation until a harmonic current reaches a restriction value. A first voltage value is then set as a step-up target value and the converter is caused to perform a switching operation if the load is less than a predetermined value when the harmonic current reaches the restriction value. A second voltage value (greater than the first voltage value) is set as the step-up target value and the converter is caused to perform a switching operation if the load is equal to or greater than the predetermined value.
