Abstract:
Provided is a motor drive device with which it is possible to continue operation within the upper limit of system control even when the voltage of an AC power supply decreases during operation of a motor used in a hoist or a crane. A motor drive device characterized in that: an inverter control unit of the motor drive device is provided with a speed reference setting means for setting the speed of a motor, a means for detecting the speed deviation between the output of the speed reference setting means and the output of a speed detection means for detecting the speed of the motor, and a means for controlling the output current from an inverter in accordance with the output of the speed deviation; the speed reference setting means is provided with a correction circuit for correcting an external speed command imparted from the exterior; and when a voltage decrease signal is received from the voltage decrease detection means, the correction circuit corrects the external speed command in accordance with the deviation between the detected value from a DC voltage detection circuit and a first reference value and outputs the corrected external speed command as the output of the speed reference setting means.
