Abstract:
A motor drive device (3), which drives a motor (2) comprising a winding set (13A) and a winding set (13B) that are electrically independent, comprises: an inverter (21A) that outputs a three-phase alternating current to the winding set (13A); an inverter (21B) that outputs a three-phase alternating current to the winding set (13B); and controllers (26A, 26B) that output drive commands by PWM pulses to the inverter (21A) and the inverter (21B). The controllers (26A, 26B) generate PWM pulses so that the three-phase alternating current output from the inverter (21A) to the winding set (13A) and the three-phase alternating current output from the inverter (21B) to the winding set (13B) have mutually opposite polarities in all phases.
