Abstract:
This motor drive device (100) comprises: an inverter unit (10) that supplies an AC current to a motor (40) having a plurality of stator windings; a connection switching unit (30) that is arranged between the inverter unit (10) and the motor (40) and that switches a connection state of the stator windings; a rotor magnetic flux estimation unit (51) that calculates an estimated rotor magnetic flux, which is an estimated value of the rotor magnetic flux of the motor (40), on the basis of current information that is a detection result pertaining to the current value of the AC current; and an assessment processing unit (54) that assesses the connection state on the basis of the estimated rotor magnetic flux, an abnormality in the connection state being assessed during operation of the motor (40).
