Abstract:
A motor drive inverter control apparatus comprises a rectifier circuit for rectifying an AC power supply; an inverter circuit driven by an output of the rectifier circuit; a motor driven by an output of the inverter circuit; a first capacitor connected in parallel with the output of the rectifier circuit; and a second capacitor connected in parallel with the first capacitor via a diode. The second capacitor has a capacitance that is equal to or greater than three times that of the first capacitor. Although exhibiting a ripple content of 90 percent or more during normal driving, the second capacitor well absorbs generative energy of the motor, with the result that elements can be prevented from degrading due to an excessive voltage and the size and cost of the apparatus can be reduced.
