Abstract:
Provided is a motor driving circuit which is provided with an upper switching element and a lower switching element serially connected to the upper switching element, and which drives a brushless DC motor. This motor driving circuit is provided with: a gate driving circuit for driving the lower switching element; and a brake circuit applying a voltage to the gate terminal of the lower switching element via the gate driving circuit by using an induced voltage generated by the brushless DC motor and thereby switching on the lower switching element, wherein the gate driving circuit has: a push element applying a predetermined power supply voltage to the gate terminal by being switched on; a pull element pulling charges from the gate terminal by being switched on; and a rectifying unit disposed between the push element and the gate terminal and rectifying current to flow in the direction from the push element to the gate terminal.
