Abstract:
A motor driving device (7) that drives a motor (3) having two winding sets (31, 32) is provided with: semiconductor switches (71R, 72R) that are provided, respectively, in two current passing systems (71, 72), which include respective driving circuits (71INV, 72INV) connected to the corresponding winding sets on a one-to-one basis, such that each of the semiconductor switches is disposed between the driving circuit and a power source PW; and a semiconductor switch (70R) through which the power source (PW) and each of the semiconductor switches (71R, 72R) are connected to each other in series. A parasitic diode (D1) of the semiconductor switch (71R) causes current to pass from the driving circuit (71INV) to the semiconductor switch (70R). A parasitic diode (D2) of the semiconductor switch (72R) causes current to pass from the driving circuit (72INV) to the semiconductor switch (70R). A parasitic diode (D0) of the semiconductor switch (70R) causes current to pass from the power source (PW) to the semiconductor switches (71R, 72R).
