Abstract:

[Problem] To reduce the axial dimension of a motor encoder. [Solution] A motor encoder 10 has: a disk 11 rotating together with a motor shaft 102; a main board 12 disposed facing the disk 11 and having an opening 12a formed therein; a sub-board 13 disposed on a surface 12b of the main board 12 on the side opposite to the disk 11 so as to cover at least a part of the opening 12a; a light source 14 disposed in the opening 12a on a surface 13a of the sub-board 13 on the side of the disk 11 and emitting light to the disk 11; and a light receiving element 15 disposed in the opening 12a on the surface 13a of the sub-board 13 on the side of the disk 11 and receiving reflected light from the disk 11.
