Abstract:
[Problem] To reduce estimation error for the winding temperature when the load state of a motor changes. [Solution] A temperature estimation device that repeats a process for estimating the electrical resistance and the temperature of a winding in the stator of a motor. In this process a preliminary electrical resistance is calculated on the basis of a formula defining a relationship between the electrical resistance and a group of parameters used in controlling the rotation of the rotor, the difference between the preliminary electrical resistance and the previously estimated electrical resistance is calculated, and an integrated value for the calculated resistance difference is added to an initial value for the electrical resistance, thereby estimating the current electrical resistance. A resistance difference calculated when a change in the load state has been detected is excluded from the integrated value.
