Abstract:
A motor protection circuit and a method for controlling the circuit. The motor protection circuit comprises: voltage-dividing resistors (R4, R5) and a sampling resistor (R1); a control chip, one end of each voltage-dividing resistor (R4, R5) accessing the control chip, two ends of the sampling resistor (R1) accessing the control chip, the control chip being used for stablising a power source voltage as a preset voltage value when detecting that voltage values of the two ends of the voltage-dividing resistors (R4, R5) are greater than a preset voltage value, and/or issuing a shutdown signal when detecting that a current value flowing through the sampling resistor (R1) is greater than a preset current value; a field-effect transistor (Q1), a gate accessing the control chip, a source accessing one end of the sampling resistor (R1), the field-effect transistor (Q1) being used for performing a shutdown according to the shutdown signal produced by the control chip. The protection circuit and the control method solve the technical problem in the prior art that power source protection circuits rely on cumbersome inductors, capacitors, fuses or transient voltage suppressors to prevent sudden changes in power source voltages and currents from damaging devices and control circuits.
