Abstract:
On one side, in the axial direction, of a worm wheel 46, first thinned portions 46e which are recessed toward the other side, in the axial direction, of the worm wheel 46 are provided, and on the one side, in the axial direction, of the worm wheel 46, reinforcing portions 46h which reinforce the area between the first thinned portions 46e and tooth portions 45 of the worm wheel 46 are provided. Consequently, the first thinned portions 46e make it possible to reduce the weight of the worm wheel 46 and to inhibit any distortion from occurring in the tooth portions 45. Further, the reinforcing portions 46h make it possible to sufficiently enhance the strength of vicinity of the tooth portions 45 of the worm wheel 46.
