Abstract:
A motor unit provided with: a motor having a rotor that rotates around a motor axis extending in the horizontal direction, and a stator that is positioned outside of the rotor in the radial direction; a housing provided with an accommodating space that accommodates the motor; oil that accumulates in a region below the accommodating space in the vertical direction; and an oil passage that supplies oil from the region below the accommodating space in the vertical direction to the motor. In the path of the oil passage, a primary reservoir and a secondary reservoir for holding oil are provided, and the primary reservoir and the secondary reservoir each have an outflow port that supplies oil to the motor. The primary reservoir is positioned on the upstream side of the oil passage with respect to the secondary reservoir, and the secondary reservoir receives oil that has overflowed from the primary reservoir.
