Abstract:
A motor unit provided with a motor having a stator and a shaft and that rotates around a motor axis, a reduction gear, and a housing. An accommodating space comprises a motor chamber that accommodates the motor, and a gear chamber that accommodates the reduction gear. The housing has a partition that partitions the motor chamber and the gear chamber. The shaft comprises a first shaft part, a connection shaft part and a second shaft part, which are coaxially aligned, and a detachment mechanism that is positioned between the connection shaft part and the second shaft part. The first shaft part has a first end section that passes through an insertion hole provided to the partition from the motor chamber side. The connection shaft part comprises a second end section that is linked to the first end section, a third end section that is positioned on the opposite side of the second end section, and a connection flange section that extends outside of the third end section in the radial direction. The second shaft part comprises a fourth end section that is positioned on the third end section side of the connection shaft part. The detachment mechanism selectively detaches the connection flange section and the fourth end section.
