Abstract:
This motor unit comprises: a motor having a rotor that rotates around a motor shaft extending in the horizontal direction and a stator positioned on the outside of the rotor, in the radial direction; a housing that houses the motor; and oil housed inside the housing. The housing has provided therein an oil path that circulates oil and supplies the oil to the motor from above the motor.
The oil path has provided therein a trough-shaped reservoir that is arranged above the motor and accumulates oil.
The reservoir has a bottom section extending along a horizontal plane. The bottom section has provided therein: a recessed section in the upper surface, that is recessed downward; and a discharge hole that penetrates the bottom section, opens to the upper surface of the recessed section, and supplies oil that is inside the reservoir to the motor.
