Abstract:
The invention relates to a motor vehicle door lock (6, 7) equipped with an emergency locking element (8, 9) and at least one locking lever (10). The emergency locking element (8, 9) moves the locking lever (10) at least into a locking position. According to the invention, the emergency locking element (8, 9) is designed in such a way that it can be fitted optionally or as required.
