Title:
MOTOR VEHICLE, HAVING CONNECTION ELEMENTS HAVING CHANGEABLE TRANSVERSE RIGIDITY BETWEEN A CHASSIS FRAME AND A VEHICLE BODY
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2010/115574
Kind Code:
A8
Abstract:
A motor vehicle (1), having a chassis frame (2) and a vehicle body (4), has switchable connection elements (10) between the chassis frame (2) and the vehicle body (4). The connection elements (10) are disposed both in front of and behind the connection line (L) of the wheel contact points (22) of the front wheels (24) and/or the connection line (L) of the wheel contact points (42) of the rear wheels (44). Thus, the vehicle body (4) applies a bending moment to the chassis frame (2) when driving in curves, resulting in a self-steering behavior of the front axle (20) and/or rear axle (40). Said self-steering behavior can be influenced by "activating" either the connection elements (10) in front of or the connection elements (10) behind the respective axle (20 or 40), in other words, triggered such that said connection elements have a highest possible traverse rigidity, while the other corresponding connection elements (10) are "deactivated", in other words, triggered such that said connection elements have a lowest possible traverse rigidity. The triggering occurs by way of a control unit (8), which uses, for example, parameters from the driving operation of the motor vehicle (1) as control variables.
